Hi Everyone, I hope you are keeping warm in the chilly weather that has descended on us since the beginning of December, and that you are starting to gear up to the big day this festive season.  This month I wanted to look at the different sizes of photos that I scrap and how I can scrap the many, many photos I take each week.  I am mainly using the same stash of loud and proud papers I selected last month, please check out my YouTube Channel where you will see me go through them in more detail.
First up I wanted to look at the single photos page, I do this a lot, and I find it matches my clustered style of scrapping, but I decided to share a page this month using a photo enlargement.  I had several of my favourite photo moment from my holiday in 2012 englarged, and my idea was to use these to mark these times in my album, and serve as an introduction to the other photos from these events.

I used another piece of my favourite My Minds Eye paper from my post last month, but the reverse side.  I used my mists to paint in the pattern, and I love the highlight of the gold.

I kept the rest of the LO pretty simple, as I want the photo, with its dark background, to stand out from all the colours and glitter.  Being a photo of Las Vegas I had to include glitter of course.  I also clustered up lots of the Shimelle Die Cuts and Stickers.

Secondly I wanted to use two photos on a page, this time I went with two square 4×4 prints, these have become so much more popular in scrapbooking as our love for Instagram continues, and they are one of my favourite formats to scrap.

I could not do my December post without including a little bit of festive cheer.  The papers I used are from the new Elle’s Studio  Collection that are in the shop now, I love the cut apart sheet, it made the embellishment of this page so quick and simple.

I added some wood veener and letter stickers from my stash to finish it all off, I am really please with just using two pieces of paper from the Elle’s Studio collection I managed to create a background and the embellishments.  I also still have loads left to use on other projets.

The last page could have include 3 photos to show you another multiple photo page, but that would have been predictable, so of course I went with thirty-six photos!

I created the collage of photos using apps on my iPhone, of course this could be done in photo editing software, or you could create your own from photos or contact sheets.  I printed my image up at 8×8 so the photos were large enough to see, but also worked well together as a whole image.

Due to the size of these photos, I left the embellishment to a minimum.  I used some of the papers from the new Dear Lizzy paper line, and the 6×6 page cut apart sheets were great for simple embellishments and worked great with the Shimelle Die Cuts.  The dark tone of the Heidi Swapp background paper really made everything pop, I even used up some of the purple paper I was not a huge fan of, this piece from the MME Jubilee Collection.

So that is all from me this month, I hope I have encouraged you to look at different formats of photos you can use on your pages.  Maybe you could even top my 36 photos on a page.  I will be sharing the Process Videos of these pages over on my YouTube channel this week, pop over and take a look.
I want to take this opportunity to wish you all a great festive period and I will see you all in the new year.
