Adding Elle's Studio products

Hi Magpies, Jackie here with my first blogpost of the month, can you believe we are already in August … the months are just flying by and it will be soon be Christmas – yeah ! Anyway, let me get on with my layouts, I decided this month to use some Elle’s Studio products on my layouts. These products are so versatile and makes a lovely additional to all my layouts and pocket pages this month.

Let’s Go Cruisin’

For my first layout this month, I used this months sketch challenge set my my teammate Caroline who designed this sketch, you can find all the details pinned to to top of our Facebook group here on how to enter.

The design is for a TN spread but I decided to use it for a layout, and try and stay true to the design.

The collection I used for this layout is from Simple Stories – Cruisin’, and a recent photograph from my visit to New York last month with James. We had booked onto one of the 4th July cruises which was fab and something I needed to document.

Using Anchor Aweigh and Sea The Day papers – I cut them both so they measured 6×12, but then as I wanted to have a white border edge, I trimmed them both to 5 4/5” x 12, and added some machine stitching around the edges.

Following the design of the sketch, I used the b-sides of 2×2 and 4×6 element papers to add to my page.

To help my photograph stand out, I backed it with black cardstock.

I added chipboard pieces from this collection, and then adding a few bits and pieces from Elle’s Studio.  Using Magical Memories –  Puffy Stickers – which are design Disney layouts, but they work well with any them as you can see.

I layered some of the cut apart labels up at and added a stamp saying from EveryDay Phases –  Vol 2 stamp set and from The Good Life Stamp set, which I cut out and added to the right side of the photograph.

I finished the layout with some stickers from the Simple Stories – Cruisin’ collection.

For the title I used a cut apart piece and added  Elle’s Studio puffy alphabets to form the title.

This 12×12 layouts will be a starter pages in our album, so I wanted to add a few more photographs using a page protector – this one is 8 x12 that I had in my stash.

And the back of the divided page protector.

The Good Life

Another New York layout, using Pink Fresh Studio – Out & About, I added some Ranger oxide inks to my cardstock and added the patterned paper to the top of my layout.

To back my photographs I used some patterned papers from my stash that is still in stock in the store,  Shimelle – Sparkle City – It’s Wonderful paper and Shimelle – Head in the Clouds –  Castle on Clouds (b side).

I added labels from various cut apart sheets from Elle’s Studio around my photograph, including a stamp phase from Elle’s Studio – Magical Memories – Clear stamps, I also stamped at the bottom of the page and added some journalling, along with some puffy heart stickers around the page.

For my title I used Elle’s Studio – The Good Life wood veneer and added some wood veneer from Elle’s Studio – Magical Memories collection.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you use some of the Elle’s Studio products on your layouts.

Don’t forget to join in with this month challenge, full details can be found here.

Till next time
