All pretty in white and pink!

Hi Everyone! I am so excited for this to be my official first post for Hey Little Magpie!
It did take me a while to choose what I wanted to use this month as there was so much to choose from…in the end I settled on the paper by American Crafts Dear Lizzy Happy Place line. This is a set of papers that I have previously not used so it was nice to finally see them in real life!
After choosing my papers that I wanted to use I looked around the website to see what else there was…until I came upon these! the Healthy Hello Mini placemats die cut cards. These are perfect if you don’t have a die cutting machine as they are cut out for you!

I decided to try and use these on all my projects for this month. And then when My box turned up it came with all my goodies wrapped up in some white tissue paper. So I challenged myself to use that all all my projects as well.
Here is my first page that I made of this month…
IMG_2749I did use my die cutting machine to cut out the circles, but a heart punch and a circle punch works as well.

I used some paints and different crayons to create the backing to the circles and I also used them on the square piece of card that holds the circles.

It came out very bright and took the focus away from the rest of the page so I covered it with the white tissue paper and stitched it on.

I added these little wooden words from jellybean soup to some of the circles and then added some of these little gems as well.
For my second page, again I wanted to use those die cuts…
IMG_2753Again I used the white tissue paper on the page..I am pleased that I managed to use it on both my pages.
I loved how the pattern papers looked so pretty together so I made the butterfly to have fringed edges!

I used the die cut with the butterfly on this page. I stitched over some of it and then made another butterfly to sit on the top of it.
I used some different accents from a few Pink Paislee ephemera lines

I wanted to use the camera die cut from the set as well…so I made a little mini album.

I used the wooden word happy to stick on the front…as the photos that are inside make me happy. I used Ellies Studio letter stickers for the word ‘my’ as they were the perfect size.
I collect old tins and put them on the window ledge of my kitchen…so I added some plain white cardstock onto the back of the die cut and folded it in an accordion style. I left the last one empty so I can add more photos of my tins as I get them.

I wanted to add some paper to the folded paper, so I cut out some of the paper and adhered it to one of the pages. I then cut out the word happy from one of the die cuts and added that to the page. I kept this mini album super simple and have just added some journaling on the back of the card about each tin and the store behind them!IMG_2762 4
Well thats me for this month. Thanks for popping by!
