Hi Magpies, it’s Caroline and I’m here to set your challenge for August. Can you believe it is really August already, where is this year going!
From discussions in the Chat and Inspiration Facebook group, I can see that you all enjoy a sketch. Therefore, I have a sketch challenge for you this month. It is a sketch with a slight difference though, as I’ve created a traveler’s notebook sketch for you.
Traveler’s notebooks are a great way to document your day to day stories. As well as a collection of stories from a specific event or trip. So if you’ve been wanting to try scrapbooking in a traveler’s notebook, but don’t know where to start or just haven’t had the time, then this is perfect for you. Go on give it a go!
I have an example layout for you using Vicki Boutin’s Color Kaleidoscope collection.
I followed the sketch quite closely for my layout, but feel free to put your own spin on it. As long as the original sketch is still visible in your layout, you can be as creative as you like.
Not keen on traveler’s notebooks? You know they just aren’t for you, then that’s ok. I have a 12×12 version of the sketch so that you can play along too.
Creative team member Giselle has created a fantastic 12 x 12 example layout for you.
I have also created a 12 x 12 layout based on the sketch, using Pinkfresh Studio’s Out and About collection.
Whichever size you choose, upload the layout you have created using the sketch, to the August Challenge album on the Hey Little Magpie Papercraft and Scrapbooking Chat and Inspiration group on Facebook.
You have until midnight on 31st August to upload your entry to be in with a chance of winning 1000 Magpie Points, worth £10 to spend in store. The winner will be drawn at random from all the entries and the points will be added to the winner’s Hey Little Magpie account.
I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
