Hi scrappers, Jackie here and this month I’m using a summer collection from Bella Blvd – Island Escape. I love the fresh tones of this collection and the Bella Blvd – Acrylic words that Bella Blvd make, go well with not just holiday photographs but also everyone events, and I’ve used two of them that are for this collection.
The Beach is ….
My first layout this month, I distressed the cardstock using the packaging technique and Tim Holtz Broken China Oxide Ink. I used the cut a part sheet as my title, and a strip of the Bella Blvd – Island Escape – Border paper to add an extra title to my layout. The puffy hearts are by PinkFresh Studio – The Mix 2, you get various designs on one sheet, they also do a star sheet.
I did a simple matt of patterned papers from the collection, and added some stamped words from the Heidi Swapp – Pineapple Crush stamps, which I stamped on to cork for added texture, these stamps works well with this collection of papers. the wire word is from Amy Tangerine – Sunshine & Good Times that I had in my stash.
Holiday memories …
My 2nd layout I used the b-side of the papers Bella Blvd – Tropical Bliss paper I added it to the bottom of my cardstock, and added a piece of Bella Blvd – Island Escape – Daily Details paper to the top. Keeping the papers in the centre of the page. I handstitched several circles around the page for added texture and then added a banner across the join of the two papers. Using a selections of papers I added a simple matt behind my photograph.
To finished my page I added stickers from the Bella Blvd – Island Escape Sticker sheet. In a few of the circles I stamped some of the phases from the Heidi Swapp – Pineapple Crush stamp set.
The wood veneer and printed labels are from the Elle’s Studio – Noteworthy collection.
For the title I used a Bella Blvd – acrylic word and added some small alphabets from the Creative Devotion range – this is a lovely set of mini alphabets that can be used for all crafting not just for bible journalling.
Benidorm 2017 …
My final layout this month is using up the left over from the papers, and a style that I ‘go to’ on a regular basis. I added a strip of Bella Blvd – Island Escape – Peace & Quiet paper, to the right hand side of my cardstock and added two border strips from the Bella Blvd – Island Escape – Border paper and a border sticker from the Bella Blvd – Island Escape – Sticker Sheet.
I added a simple matt to my photograph, die cuts some tags and added a Bella Blvd – Island Escape – Acrylic word as my title and added some stickers from the Bella Blvd – Island Escape – Sticker sheet.
I love how these layouts have turned out and I hope you give this collection a try, and don’t forget to share what you do on our Facebook page.
Till next time xxx
