Best Summer Ever | Niki Rowland

Hey Magpies, Niki here today with two layouts using the Echo Park Collection called Best Summer Ever.

I really love this summery collection, it has bright happy colours and will be great for summer photos or holiday photos. For my two layouts today I’m using photos from this years Sports Day.

For my first layout I used that fabulous yellow gingham paper. I also cut up all of the fans from another paper. I tore the edge of the yellow gingham paper and layered it onto a piece of white card.

I put some white acrylic paint on the yellow gingham pattern where I wanted to add my photos. This was simply to soften the bright pattern so that it didn’t over power my photos. I added my title at the bottom, being on white it was able to stand out here. I’ve used a pack of gold Thickers (Dear Lizzy It’s All Good collection) and Alpha Stickers by PinkFresh Studio Out and About Collection. I outlined the word RACE in black pen to make it very bold and I also outlined some of the gingham squares.

For my second layout, Pretty Quick, I used the blue gingham paper for my page border and a piece of white card for the background.

I created a few strips of patterned paper across the layout and used this as a ‘shelf’ to sit my three photos on. I also added the Hello SunShine tag to this area. I added stickers and some brads too.

I finished off with a title made up of an acrylic Bramble Fox work and Pinkfresh alpha stickers again. I also added some flicks of paint.
