Bright & cheerful LO's with a kit

So this month I decided to try working with a kit. I’m a bit useless at this so it was a bit of a personal challenge for me! And, I don’t have a picture of what I used before I started either I’m sorry.  I didn’t really know what I would want to use for my kit, so I threw a whole bunch of supplies in a pizza box (and it wouldn’t even close) and went off to a crop. I did end up narrowing down which supplies I was going to use, but I never got to take a photo of those supplies together.
But here’s a list of the supplies in my kit.
These LO’s are made using 6 papers:
Studio Calico, Lemonlush, Analytics
Studio Calico, Lemonlush, Impulsive
Studio Calico, Brighton Pier, Sparks & Fire
Simple Stories, DIY Boutique, No Worries
Simple Stories, DIY Boutique, Pink Chevron Dots – I used both the spots and chevron sides of that paper
and Crate Paper, Notes & Things, Noted – I used the 12×12 sheet of this and also a sheet from the 6×6 pad too
Embellishments:
MAMBI Puffy Stickers, Bright Multi Arrows
MAMBI Puffy Stickers, Laugh Bliss & Life
MAMBI Puffy Stickers, The Good Life Sayings

Gossamer Blue, On My Desk, Flair Badges
Gossamer Blue, Gramercy Road, Skinny Labels

Heidi Swapp, Favorite Things, Word Jumble Stickers
Heidi Swapp, Favorite Things, Puffy Shape Stickers
Hey Little Magpie, Flair Badge, Arrow Phrases, Love This
Hey Little Magpie, Flair Badge, Love This on Ruled Paper
Hey Little Magpie, Flair Badge, Pink Heart on Grid

Thickers:
And some older Thickers which aren’t in stock anymore  but are my absolute favourites so I had to use them, they’re from the Studio Calico Snippets line.
I won’t keep linking the items up but if there’s an embellishment on one of the LO’s that you really want to know what packet it comes from, just leave a comment and I will let you know.

For this first LO, I used the gorgeous green watercolour SC Lemonlush, Analytics paper and then added in some of the Brighton Pier, Sparks & Firetext paper. The tan stripe paper is the Notes & Things Noted paper from the 6×6 pad. I’ve put some of the Heidi Swapp word stickers down the side of the photo and some of them I mounted on black cardstock to help them pop, and adhered with foam pads. I used one of the Freckled Fawn Wood Chip Words and coloured it black with a Sharpie. To make the HLM ‘Love This’ flair badge stand out, I put it on a black punched circle and also made a white frame using 2 different sized circle punches.

For my second LO I used the fabulous SC, Lemonlush Impulsive paper. I got a lot out of this paper, it’s too yummy to throw any scraps away, so I used them! The title is made using a Freckled Fawn Wood Chip Word which again, I coloured with a Sharpie and the ‘details’ is from the new Maggie Holmes collection, Storybook. I’ve used words from the pack of gold, glittery foam Thickers on 3 of these LO’s, they’re very useable words! I’ve also added in some old washi tape (the gold diagonal stripe) which I bought in Japan and some American Crafts gold glitter tape which I still had lying around on my desk from the wedding LO’s I did for the blog in September!

This time I used some striped paper, the Simple Stories DIY Boutique, No Worries paper and well as the Pink Chevron/Dots and then I needed something extra, so I added in the SC Brighton Pier text paper underneath. The large Love word is from the  Amy Tangerine Plus One line. The bright arrows are from the Mambi Bright Arrows pack and they’re so fun! The orange star is from the Freckled Fawn Enamel Stars pack and the pink heart is Heidi Swapp.

These last two LO’s I kind of threw together using the scraps of leftover papers that were lying around on my desk! I’ve used the same roll of gold stripe washi tape on this one and the large ‘happy’ word is from the Maggie Holmes Word Thickers. The puffy hexagons down the bottom left hand side are from the Heidi Swapp, Favourite Things Puffy Shapes pack.
Peonies
Last LO and I used a leftover piece of the SC, Lemonlush Analytics paper and then kept adding pieces of leftovers in underneath it! Again I used a punched white circle down the bottom right, to put some enamel stars and a puffy arrow sticker on, and I punched a frame from black using 2 different sized circle punches to help that bunch of embellishments pop.

So I hope you like my kit LO’s. I wish I had a photo of the kit all together before I started, but I just couldn’t narrow down what I was going to use, until I started scrapping. Once I had narrowed down my supplies, it was very easy for these LO’s to come together using just those 6 papers though. I definitely recommend pulling together a kit like this to take to a crop or for a days scrapping in your craft room.
