Collection re-visit
Hi Magpies, Jackie here with my first blogpost of July. I decided to re-visit one of the collections I’ve used in the past few months, the lovely travel collection from PinkFresh Studio – Out & About for my first layout.
Not the Real Thing Yet!
As you read this I will be in New York with James, and we will have seen the real thing by now and hopefully taken a ride or two in one, but it was lovely to get a pre-photo before our visit.
Shortly after booking our holiday, we went out for lunch and this New York Taxi was outside the restaurant and of course we just had to take a photograph.
I went back to one of my previous layouts here, to get the inspiration for the sunburst background and then using a selection of patterned papers to add a I simple matt of papers, backed one of the photographs with patterned paper and added 3D foam to the backs of both of the photographs to give them added dimensions.
Then using a selection of patterned papers from the 6×6 pad, I added details around the page, including cutting out the ‘Go-See-Do’ from one of the patterned papers.

For my 2nd layouts I used the Echo Park – Lost in Neverland collection, using a Disney photograph from the parade.
Lets go to Neverland ….
As I’m still trying to get my Disney photos scrapped, I’m will be adding a Disney layout whenever I can, and this is a great collection to add some of my photographs from the Parade with Peter Pan.
I again went with a layout format that I’ve used in the past, but this time I cut the patterned papers larger than I normally do. The Echo Park – Lost in Neverland – Peter Pan paper (blue) I cut at 10 x 4, Echo Park – Lost in Neverland – Border Strips paper (b-side) measures approximately 10 x 7.
The photograph is 6×4 so was perfect to sit alongside one of the Echo Park – Lost in Neverland – 4×6 Journalling cards which I used as my title.
I finished the page with elements from the chipboard sheets Accents and Phases.
