Color Fresh – Heidi Swapp | Morag Cutts

Hi Magpies. I’ve had a blast with colour using Heiddi Swapp Color Fresh collection. It has bold colours pared with black and white to make a real statement!

Laugh Often

In my first layout, I love the colours of the striped blocks in the Spectrum paper so I used it as my start point.

I used Distress Oxide Ink to create pools of colour to match the striped paper.
I then stamped the cute words using the Heidi Swapp Color Fresh clear stamps. They are fabulous value for money and stamp beautifully.
Cute little paper clip is Simple Stories – Oh Happy Day.
Paper tag was cut from Tickled Pink paper
It’s great to mix and match embellishments. The title is from Maggie Holmes Sunny Days
To create interest across the page, I added some striped black and white paper and more stickers from the lovely Maggie Holmes Sunny Days sticker pack.

Love this Life

The Bold & Bright striped paper was the starting point for this layout. I knew I wanted to use the diagonal paper to give the layout some tension, but I did get a bit stuck after I had laid it onto the Fine Line paper

To add more interest to the background, I stencilled some stars using Distress Ink. To notch it up a level, I then sewed around each star. It was a bit of a labour of love!
To make things interesting I cut slits into the Bold and Bright paper so I could tuck in my photos and embellishments.
I punched stars and used the Heidi Swapp Color Fresh clear stamps to add some journaling.

I used more stickers from the lovely Maggie Holmes Sunny Days sticker pack.

I hope that I have inspired you to play with some colour this month! It has been so much fun playing with this fab collection!
