Color Kaleidoscope – So Fun Stamp & Die set.

Today I would like to share with you layouts I’ve created using the colourful Color Kaleidoscope range by Vicki Boutin for American Crafts For these first 2 pages I’ve focused on the So Fun stamp and die set in this range. I’m a keen user of dies on my pages so wanted to give this set a try.

Capture it, Love it.

For this first layout I used a premade mixed media background from the Colour Kaleidoscope 12×12 pad. I turned the background sideways before adding machine stitching in complimentary colours to the coloured sections.

Then using the So Fun Stamp and Die set I stamped the 3 sizes of flowers onto 2 more of the premade backgrounds from the 12×12 pad using similar colours before using the die to cut out the large flowers and fussy cutting the smaller ones.

I arranged these on the background matching similar colours down the page and around my photo. I added glossy accents to the flower centres to make them shine. Then stamped leaves using the So Fun leaves stamp in gold to tie in with the splashes on the background paper. All the flowers were adhered using foam pads for dimension.

Hooray.

For my next page I focused on the Colour Kaleidoscope Chasing Rainbows paper and the banner die from the set.

Taking white cardstock as my base I splattered watercolour paint down the centre following the coloured stripes on the Chasing Rainbows paper. Whilst this dried I cut as many banners as I could from a strip of this paper and lightly adhered them to the cardstock when it was dry.

To balance the page I added a torn strip to each side with a crepe paper frill all machine sewn down. My photos were matted on journalling cards from the ephemera packs before adding holographic banner strip and stars to finish.

The title word is from Elles Studio and seemed perfect for celebrating a 21st birthday.
