Confetti Wishes – Pink Paislee

When I was looking at all the new ranges as they came into the shop, the Pink Paislee Confetti Wishes caught my eye. Its a little brighter than I would normally go for but I thought it would be lovely & cheerful to work with whilst its so cold outside.

As this range, Confetti Wishes is primarily about birthdays I just had to scrap this photo of me & some scrapping friends.

I loved the Confetti Wishes #02 paper with all its different coloured sentiments but rather than use it as it was I cut it into strips, chose the sentiments I preferred and adhered them down the edges of a 12×12 white cardstock sheet. I sewed some of them down with variegated machine thread to add texture and applied some ink to the cardstock using the packaging technique.

After all the sticking and stitching I didn’t want to cover too much of the edges up so I clustered Confetti Wishes die cuts, chipboard pieces and puffy stickers either side of my photo echoing the birthday theme.

Whilst creating my first layout I noticed the tropical feel of some of the Confetti Wishes papers and embellishments and looked through my printed photos for something to go with them & I came across this one.

Again I used white cardstock as my base with a little ink applied. I tore a strip of the Confetti Wishes #05 paper and added it to the left side then machine sewed around the edge of the white cardstock which still showed.

I mounted my photo on various papers from the 6×6 pad before wrapping some twine around it & adhering it down. I used die cuts and puffy stickers to cluster around my photo. The title came about due to the tropical birds in the Confetti Wishes die cut pack. I cut it with my silhouette then painted with a few shimmery paints before adhering down with birds perched on it.
