Crushing on Summer collections with Bo Bunny and Heidi Swapp

Hi Magpies, I hope you are all having a good week, and have been enjoying the lovely weather over the past few weeks.  I have also been enjoying all the lovely new summery collections that have been arriving in the shop in the past few weeks.  I have chosen a couple of collections to play with this month, Bo Bunny Summer Mood and Heidi Swapp Pineapple Crush.
I really love the bright colours in these collections and they have lots of blues and turquoise, which work perfect for me getting the finial push on completing my Eden Project album, which I have been sharing on the blog this year.  This is the first time I have scrapped with Bo Bunny and I really love the quality of the papers.  If you have not already make sure you are catching up with the Hey Little Magpie Podcast as they show some of these papers in detail.

My first few pages take advantage of the cut apart sheets and die cut pack from Bo Bunny they have such great pieces.  Also the die cuts vary in sizes, so are great for layering.

These pages are a bit different from the rest in the album, as they are pink.  It was whilst at Eden I got the phone call about my promotion and we had a drink to celebrate, it was raining so I was modeling my rain cape!!

The typewriter element makes a good link back to work.

The Bo Bunny collection has a little bit of everything, floral, graphic elements, quotes and some lovely brush script lettering.  I used one of the cut a part cards to act as my tittle on this page.

For these last two pages I wanted to make use of the stamp set that comes with the Pineapple Crush collection.  I have many Heidi Swapp stamp sets and they are really good quality, don’t let the amazing price put you off.

For my first page using them, I used the circles on the paper to stamp around in a selection of inks, to make small wreath designs.  The phrases on these stamps are brilliant too.

For my last page I created a floral border that would show under my main layer.  I can see me using these stamps many more times in this album.  The mixture of sizes are great for creating this kind of effect.
I have really enjoyed these papers, and the plus side of working 8×8 means I plenty of stripes of papers left to use in this album.  I am growing to love working in this size.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog post this month and I will see you next month.
