Elements Challenge for NSD | Niki Rowland

Hey there Magpies, Niki here to host your late Saturday evening challenge. I hope you are enjoying the challenges so far…NSD is definitely my favourite weekend of the year!

So my challenge is to include a set of different elements on your layout. The list is:

So hopefully not too taxing!

I have, of course, included all the elements on my sample layout ‘Baby Shark’ …recognise the song? For those who don’t like using song titles or lyrics, give it a try. I used to hate doing this but actually it has led to some of my best scrapbooking titles ever, get Google out and see what you can find.

For this layout I have used a free cut file and also used the Pirate Tales collection by Echo Park. It’s such a fun collection and is mostly pirate themed as you can imagine, but it also had some sharks in it which were perfect for this layout.

I backfilled the cut file with that fabulous shark paper and added cut file word strips too.

I added two embellishment clusters either side of my photos using stickers from the Pirate Tales sticker sheet and ephemera, as well as enamel dots and wood veneers.

I fussy cut out a few sharks and made a little cluster at the bottom of the layout too. The title was so huge that there wasn’t much room for anything else!

Thank you for playing along with my challenge, I hope you enjoy including all the different elements. To enter the challenge, simply upload your layout or creation to the relevant album over on the Hey Little Magpie Papercraft and Scrapbooking Chat & Inspiration Facebook Group, and you will be in with a chance to win 1000 Hey Little Magpie Reward points.
There is also an overall prize of 3000 Hey Little Magpie Reward points and every entry goes into that draw.

All the challenges close at midnight on Sunday 19th May so get your entries in before then.

I can’t wait to see what you make for my challenge – happy NSD everyone and happy scrapping!!
Niki xx
