Elle's Studio – Tag you're it!

It’s September and ‘tag, I’m it!’
This month I chose to create with the Elle’s Studio embellishments and in particular the lovely cork tags. You get four cork tags in the pack, they say Summer, Love, Today and the other is a star. The Summer tag gave me the idea to make a tag album, because I love making mini albums!

I cut a lots of white cardstock to the same size as the cork tag and got my paints out to paint colourful swatches of colour on each one, I can’t resist rainbow colours! When they were dry I held them altogether and punched holes to match the tag with my WRMK Crop-a-dile.

I embellished the front of the mini with old number stickers from my stash, a chipboard phrase stickers by Freckled Fawn and an arrow sticker by Elle’s Studio. The tags are held together with a book ring from my stash, but you could use a book chain found here.

I printed lots of little photos from our summer holiday by choosing a six photo 4×6″ template and choosing the ‘bordered’ option on my Canon Selphy which when cropped into individual photos they each measure just over 1 1/2″ square. I adhered the photos first, then added Elle’s Studio ‘Arrow Stickers’, ‘Everyday Circle Stickers’ and ‘Tiny Star Stickers’, plus a Elle’s Studio Wood Veneer Camera (comes in a pack of three).



My other projects are scrapbook layouts, first up is ‘Boys in trees’.

Here I had the idea to string photos and embellishments across the page. I cut another tag from the Maggie Holmes ‘Festival’ label cut apart sheet from the new Carousel collection to layer under the star cork tag and popped a blue star sticker in the star aperture. The photos are mounted on foam pads to add dimension and then pegged to bakers twine with a couple of pennants from the new Pinkfresh Studio ‘Boys Fort’ collection stapled at each end.

The top cluster features cardstock phrase stickers by Pinkfresh Studio ‘Boys Fort’ collection and a stitched heart from Pinkfresh Studio ‘Escape the Ordinary’ collection, red star sticker from Elle’s Studio, washi from Simple Stories ‘Say Cheese III’ (camera), Maggie Holmes ‘Chasing Dreams’ (tickets) and Hey Little Magpie (little hearts). I also fussy cut two kites from the Maggie Holmes ‘Carousel – Summertime’ paper, popped them up on foam pads and added them to the layout.

The bottom cluster features the title made with puffy alphabet stickers by Elle’s Studio, a gorgeous wood veneer camera, more washi and Elle’s Studio stickers plus Freckled Fawn chipboard phrase stickers.
My second layout still focuses on our summer holiday with a page about the boys (including my husband) doing Go Ape. I had to look after the dog, otherwise I’d love to have done it too!

This time I used larger pieces of patterned paper for my background, ‘Lovely’ (b-side) paper with strips top and bottom of ‘Dreamer’ paper, both from the Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams collection. I added a strip of the camera washi along the bottom too. I backed the tag with a piece of white cardstock and added a red star into the centre of the O. I added some black cardstock phrase stickers and a couple of pennants from the Pinkfresh Studio ‘Boys Fort’ collection.

I cut two labels from the ‘Festival’ paper, one for the title base and another for the journaling. I popped the large one up on foam pads and used the puffy stickers for the title. I also popped up a couple of the photos too and embellished the layout with little stickers.
