Enjoying some Fine & Dandy Summer Sun .

Hi there x Sheena here X
This month, when looking in the shop, I was rather taken with the summery colours of pink, teal & yellow in a couple of the collections, this might have been due to the lovely weather we were having at the time, & I picked some  Summer Sun from Fancy Pants & Dear Lizzy’s Fine & Dandy to create with. I wanted to mix the collections & was really pleased when I got to see them together in real life as it can be hard sometimes when picking stash on line.

Using Fine & Dandy Stripy Straws & Stay Awesome papers for the background the layers behind the photo were all from the Summer Sun 6×6 pad & the Brag Cards pack where the title card came from. The page was embellished with flair , tags & stickers plus cardstock clouds for that up in the air feeling. The wood veneers were tinted with mists. Rather than inking the edges to keep a ‘clean’ look I outlined the papers with a journalling pen.

I used the Fine & Dandy Sweetest Soiree paper b side for the background & used the mist & packaging technique to add a watery feel with a little texture paste added through a stencil over this. The layers are from the Summer Sun 6×6 pad & the Brag card pack. The kraft tags & buttons from Fancy Pants add to the feel with a HLM flair, enamel dots & cork embellishments to complete the look. The title is part of a brag card & a silhouette cut word.

The Fancy Pants wood veneer  was the starting point for this page reminding me of this photo taken last summer in Australia. The wood veneer was misted gold to co ordinate with the die cuts from Fine & Dandy which I’ve clustered along with a tag, flair & chipboard. The background  Fine & Dandy Elated paper got the mist & packaging treatment to soften the look of the layering with the torn edges.

Finally something completely different. After completing these 3 pages I still had tons of die cuts & bits on my desk so instead of saving them I put them all together.
You’re A Whole Lot Of Lovely.

I’ve mainly used the American Crafts Dear Lizzy Fine & Dandy range here with the tags, acrylic shapes, paper clips and 13 die cuts, thats right 13 die cuts from the pack & I still have more on my desk!!

To co ordinate with the gold foiled die cuts I added a small painted border to the paper as you can never have too much gold, right?

I hope you get a chance to do some summer scrapping.
Till next time.
