Flowers galore…
I don’t think there is a better way to describe the stunning new In Bloom collection by My Minds Eye than to say it features flowers galore…
It’s such a stunning collection, featuring an abundance of blossoms and blooms, with an emphasis on oversized flower heads, evocative of botanical prints.
In fact, some of the papers are so beautiful that you could simply add a photo and very little else!
I bought quite a few of the papers twice as I was keen to create at least one double page layout, especially in light of the gigantic size of the flower heads!
I bought two sheets of the stunning BeYOUtiful paper to create a perfect base for my double page, using both the A and B side of it. In reality, it’s hard to describe one side as the B side, after all both sides are equally stunning in my opinion!
With a ready made title, it seemed apt to focus and embellish around it and I was delighted to discover that some of the decorative brads were a perfect size to fit inside the letter ‘O’.
The ephemera pack and chipboard were all that was needed to further decorate the title, along with a gold doily from the lovely selection that Hey Little Magpie has!
How cute is that small heart brad?
Because of the large photo that I was using (and probably because my sewing machine was out and threaded!) I felt the need to sew… A freehand sewn circle framed the photo and was accentuated with the beautiful Pinkfresh Studio Gold acrylic stickers from the Dream On collection.
These would have been something I’d have overlooked, but I saw then on a layout of Sheena’s and the rest is history!!!
My second layout didn’t end up as a double page, as I originally intended – I was spoilt for choice with all the stunning papers and settled on the Lovely Bloom as the basis for it.
Like before, I used a brad to accentuate the ‘O’ on the ready made title, along with ephemera, chipboard and die-cuts.
And yet again I used my sewing machine…
It’s amazing how much use these machines get if they are easily accessible!
So if like me you adore In Bloom, or should I say Flowers Galore, then this collection won’t disappoint.
