Fussy Cutting

Hi folks! Tracie here with you again.
This month I have been doing lots of fussy cutting, which is one of my favourite techniques and the wonderful Burlap and Bouquets range from Fancy Pants was just crying out for it!
There is so much in the collection packs that even after three layouts I still have ample stash left over for several more!
I started out cutting a frame from the floral wreath paper not wanting to waste anything I even cut out lots of little circles from the reverse side from the bits I’d cut away!

I added a few gems and some stickles to finish it off.
I was in full cutting mode when I came to the fresh bouquet paper! Even though the photograph I’d chosen to scrap was of my brother, I wasn’t about to forego using all those cut out flowers!!
Who says flowers have to be saved for feminine layouts!

My big brother is extremely tall and towers over all of us, so I couldn’t resist this title when I saw him next to these giraffe statues!
and finally I went to town on the chic burlap paper – I wanted to cut away some of the pattern to make it more delicate looking, and again I made use of my off-cuts by layering them over the grid with 3D foam pads to give a bit more interest to what I wanted to be a fairly uncluttered layout.

By making full use of the papers in this way I created three layouts with hardly any added embellishments, which can be useful if you’re creating on a budget! This collection pack certainly gives value for money and is a joy to work with!
So that’s all from me for now, hope I’ve inspired you to put those scissors to good use!!
