Hi there x Sheena here again x
Today I would like to share with you my latest layouts using Good Vibes by Crate Paper. have you seen this range? yet again Crate has put together a lovely range with a great mix of colour plus a few quirky elements. Who doesn’t love a llama or a cactus or some pom pom fringing?
For this page featuring my daughter & a smiling alpaca, taken on an open day at Toft Alpaca farm, I knew I wanted to use the embossed puffy llama & the pompom frame so I looked through the Good Vibes patterned papers to find 2 to use as my background. To emphasise the join in the papers I added a ruffle of tissue paper & a border punched strip which I machine sewed down. I went through the Good Vibes 6×6 pad and ephemera pack pulling out bits to add layers behind my photo.
To balance my photo cluster I added a repeat of the sewn border punch & tissue plus a Good Vibes charm to the top of my page.
For my second page I wanted to focus on the Good Vibes speciality paper. I ordered it as I loved the multi coloured frames & had originally thought I would fussy cut them all out but after some thought I decided to use it as a single sheet. It lent itself to using multiple photos so here I have used 5 photos taken at a Heritage site in Los Angeles we visited whilst on holiday.
I turned the sheet around so that the 2 bigger frames were at the top, it didn’t matter that this effected the text as I filled in each frame to cover it. The pompom frame was a perfect fit for the largest square to hold my main focus photo.
I filled all the frames with more photos and patterned papers from the Good Vibes 6×6 pad ensuring I left the god lines visible then adding puffy stickers, ephemera and stickers over these in similar colour tones.
To finish this page I hand tied some tassels and dipped them in a little water colour paint for an ombre effect and once dry added them from my focus photograph in 2 curves to soften the overall look of the page. It ended up looking quite busy but I think it gives a feel of the place.
I hope you get a chance for a little creating over the holidays.
Merry Christmas x
