Gold, flowers and a little bit of sunshine in December

Good morning everyone, how are you all on this rather dark day in December? Today I am bringing you 3 layouts that are a little bit brighter and more cheerful than the weather – using the new collection from Jen Hadfield and some yummy supplies from Simple Stories. Lets get started.

For my first layout I just had to use this gorgeous gold wood grain paper from Jen Hadfields “Cottage Living” collection. This paper is just amazing, so sparkly and yummy.  I used the frames from the ephemera pack to create the border around the picture and also backed it with two other papers that aren’t currently in stock from the same range. I fussy cut flowers from the “Floral Tapestry” paper and used these and more elements from the ephemera pack to create my clusters around the picture and at the bottom right hand corner of the pages. I used foam tape on some of these layers to create dimension. I finished the layout off with one of the gorgeous 3D flowers, some gold foil circles and some of the enamel shapes, which are unfortunately no longer in stock.

For my second layout I used more of this gorgeous collection.

I started this layout with lots of Heidi Swapp splatters and then while I was waiting for those to dry backed my photo again with some more of the frames from the Jen Hadfield ephemera pack. I used another of the 3D flowers, a tassel from Crate Papers “Wonder” collection and a gold bow from Maggie Holmes. I used more of the ephemera to create the clusters around the picture and finished it off with the little fox head. The “I adore you” words are from Jens enamel words as are the little flower stickers.

For my final layout I used a mixture of the “We are Family” collection from Simple Stories.

I backed the picture with the “So very loved” paper and also cut the circles from the other side to make the frame for the picture. I cut the journalling box from one of the cut apart sheets and used this to the left of the picture to contain my writing. The other embellishments are from the ephemera pack, some of which I popped up with foam tape for added dimension. I finished this off with another one of the Jen Hadfield 3D flowers and some older letters from my stash.
