Happy Days are here again.

Hi there Magpies, Sheena here again x
Today I’m sharing with you 2 more layouts using My Minds Eye – Happy Days. I’m still very taken by this lovely bright range. It does have a few random shapes & icons in it but for these next two pages I’m going with it’s tropical vibe.
Shades of Summer.

For this first page I used Vicki Boutin foundation paper as my base and added ink oxides through a couple of stencils in a downward direction to try and get a camouflage type effect. I used the Happy Days – Good Vibrations paper to cover the top with a couple of layers tucked under all with their edges distressed which I anchored down with some machine sewing.
To compliment the sticker and chipboard leaves, I die cut more from water colour paper and painted them.

I matted the photos on Happy Days papers from the 6×6 paper pad and 3×4 journalling cards. I adhered them just down the centre and tucked the dry leaves, sticker and chipboard leaves around them.
At the bottom I added a few distressed strips which I machine stitched down before adding chipboard shades and a couple more leaves on foam pads. Title is made up of Thickers from my stash.

My next layout all started with a t-shirt slogan !! which I just had to use as my title.
Cacti + Cact-you = Cactus

I wanted the slogan to be the star of the show so I cut it on my silhouette and back filled the large word using lots of the lovely patterns from this Happy Days range. I used the cheery disposition cactus paper as the background but dry brushed white acrylic paint over the centre to help make the wording pop. My photo was mounted on 2 patterned papers with a torn lower edge.

I added 3 clusters of embellishments around the page using stickers, chipboard and die cuts from the Happy Days range and added stitching to this large die cut cacti for added texture.

I’ve loved designing with this Happy Days range this month. Please share with us your creations over on our Facebook group as we love seeing them.
Till next time x
