Hello Lovely – Simple Stories
Hi there x Sheena here again x
Recently when looking in the shop I spotted a range of paper I’d not noticed before. Hello Lovely by Simple Stories. You may not have seen it either as the Hello Lovely range only consists of 3 patterned papers and a 6×12 sticker sheet.
I have to admit I usually prefer ranges with ephemera, stickers and chipboard as I like to build layers and clusters on my pages but the colour combo swayed me into getting 2 of each paper, so I could use both sides and the sticker sheet. So I challenged myself to use this Hello Lovely range without adding too much else from my stash to the pages. Hope you like what I came up with, 4 pages and I still have a little paper left over.
Hello Lovely.
For this page I wanted to give it the feel of being a die cut, so I cut away all the woodgrain from the Hello Lovely – fab-YOU-lous paper, then hand sewed around some of the hearts before adding it to cardstock with lots of foam pads.
To keep most of the busy background on view I clustered my photo & a few embellishments and my title from the sticker sheet in one corner. I added some enamel dots to the flower centres to finish.
Happy.
For this page I used the Hello Lovely – so very lovely paper as my base and added some white paint to dampen down the pattern a little in one area then added a few blue splatters over this. I added 3×4 cards from the So Lovely – journalling card paper behind my photo plus a doily from my stash.
I layered hearts from the So Lovely – fab-YOU-lous paper on foam pads above & below my photo plus stickers from the sheet. The title is cut from a journalling card. I added a few dew drops in co ordinating colours as these were another great find I got from the shop.
I Love U
For my third page I started with white cardstock for my base and added some watercolour paints using the packaging technique, then a little texture paste through a mask before adding some machine sewn circles when it was dry.
I added a larger doily and a few layers of patterned paper behind my photo then added hearts cut from a 6×4 journalling card to my photo. I added embellishment clusters at the top and bottom of the page with more hearts, machine sewing and enamel dots.
Explore.
For my last page I started with 9×12 of white cardstock. I used 3 of the 3×4 cards from the So Lovely – journalling cards paper plus a photo of the same size. I machine stitched them all down into a grid formation. The title I added is from Freckled Fawn.
I added a few stickers raised on foam with enamel dots as flower centres before using a pen & paint to add a frame around the outside of the cardstock.
I hope you take a look at this range and share with us on our Facebook group your creations using it.
Till next time x
