Jillibeans & Fancypants!
Hi all. Jen G here. As I only post every other month, I seem to have an awful lot to share with you all. It also seems like forever ago that I sat down to work on these pages. The first 6 (yes six) of the pages that I have to share were made using Jillibean Soup’s Spicy Social Soup and Sightseeing Stew ranges. Although themed as social media and travel papers, they are incredibly versatile.
I love to scrap the “everyday”- photos that my mum would refer to as “snaps”. Photos that are not perfect – they have mess in the background; they aren’t perfectly framed etc. Sometimes these are the photos that hold the memories that would otherwise be forgotten. Isn’t that the point of scrapbooking? It is to me. So this messy, badly framed photo is of my 8 year old sleeping in a very odd manner!
The metal arrows are actually Freckled Fawn Arrow Paper clips but I altered them slightly. I used my old crop-a-dile to break off the back section of the paperclip. This left just the arrow shapes which I glued to the page with a clear glue. Not one to waste, I included the back part of the paper clip on the top right of the page.
On the next page I used one of the arrows as a paper clip to hold layers together. I added a title using some odd American Crafts DIY Thickers similar to these that are half price in the shop right now.
Similarly, I used some very old Thickers to add the title to this page. Mixing old stash with new stash can work incredibly well – a little like the silly photo here – an old me fused with my young son!
Speaking of old… I now need glasses. What does a scrapbooker do with that news? Obvious really ! One of Sarah and Lianne’s *exclusive* flair badges fit the bill perfectly.
I have two more pages to share using the Jillibean Soup ranges.

and this one that does fit the social media theme:
These next few pages are a little tribute to our lovely ex CT member Lou. Lou has recently left the CT and she will be sadly missed here at HLM. However, she is also one of my best friends. We met 9 years ago at a local crop and have never really looked back since! We see ourselves as perfectly normal, but some call us anything but! The Fancy Pants “True Friend” collection was perfect for a few “me and her” pages.
I’ve started our Bucket List Lou! There is space for 3 more crazy ideas… then I’ll just have to make a second page for all of the rest! 🙂
As that last page is a photoless layout, send us links to your own layouts without photos via the comments. We would love to see your creations.
TTFN folks!
Jen
