Hi Magpies, Julie back with you today sharing 3 layouts using the new travel collection from Crate Paper. I just love all Crate Papers collections & this one was no exception, travel themed with colours in coral, mint, yellow & pink with a touch of woodgrain/kraft thrown in.
For my 1st layout ‘NYC bus trip’ I added some mixed media to watercolour paper with acrylic paint & stamping before adding my photo, on a paper mat, to the bottom of the layout & clustering the ephemera up & around that, using bits from the 12×12 chipboard stickers, 6×12 accent stickers, flair badges, die cut ephemera & adding an ephemera envelope behind the die cut calendar frame. The title comes from the fab rose gold glitter thickers & happy life mini foam alpha thickers from the Paige Evans Pick Me Up collection.
My 2nd layout is using both sides of the fab Metropolitan paper adding a ripped piece of black cardstock across the middle. I fussy cut some pieces from the Adventurous paper & distressed the edges & added to the bottom along with a strip of the printed vellum. I popped another envelope, up the top, with a few die cut pieces & flair. My title this time comes off the puffy accent thickers & I backed the word ‘GO’ & to finish it off that cute little taxi from the chipboard stickers.
For my final page I found this great silhouette cut which I backed in an array of papers from the 6×6 paper pad & added it to the right hand side on top of a few layered up papers. My photo was perfect for this layout & was took in Liverpool, we just stumbled across this statue of suitcases, in the middle of the street, bizarre but great photo op. I added, up the top, a few tags, a chipboard suitcase & the chipboard hotel keys & tiered tassel, tying them all together with some coloured string. It was one of those layouts that was meant to be, right photo, great cut file & perfect embellishments for the page.
I hope I have inspired you with my layouts & that you’ll check out this fab collection in store.
Until next time xoxo
