I have always loved circus related designs so when I saw the Circus collection from Carta Bella I was in!
The collection is perfect for all sorts of topics – not just a circus visit. For my first layout I start off with a trip to Disney but you could use it for a trip to the zoo, a show (think Greatest Showman), a fun day out. The bold patterns and colours in the collection are adorable.
For a change, I cut out a circle in the black cardstock then matted it with yellow before layering the patterned paper behind . I used paper straws layered stickers and die-cuts to make cute little flags. Curl the die-cut and stickers for added dimension.
A sprinkle of Nuvo Crystal Drops give the stickers and title a little more detail.
Being as it was the festive season, I did persuade Julie Taylor and Jackie Ashton to join me at the local circus. Well it would be rude not to!
I started with a large circle mounted onto black cardstock. I cut out a strip of tickets from the Admission Tickets paper. To create a knotch between the tickets, use a small hole punch.
Layer some stickers and ephemera with foam tape – there are loads in the collection!
For the title I hand cut small triangle flags and added some black Thickers. Curl some of the edges before sticking to the bakers twine.
The cardstock needed a little definition so I doodled a border using black and white pens.
You can find the complete Circus collection here – be sure to check out all those lovely stickers and die-cuts – they are more versatile than you think!
Thanks for stopping by.
