Little love

Hi!

… I have some very sad news! This will be my last blog post for Hey Little Magpie. 🙁
They will no longer have a international team due to expensive postage… so they are letting me go! I’m very very sad about this… but I will continue to post layouts and PL pages on my personal blog (iddypop.wordpress.com) and personal instagram (iddypop) and also on Facebook!
 
This last blog post will be about a stamp set from Pinkfresh Studio. I only have a few stamps in my stash and I almost only use roller stamps. But this stamp set is too cute to miss. And I also think it is a perfect match to collections from Shimelle! Clouds and stars are something Shimelle always use in her collections. And the cuteness of the stamps matches all my stuff from Maggie Holmes and Crate Paper. So… I needed this set!

But… how to use stamps? I started of very nervously and used one stamp on a layout. Worked perfectly!

I hope you have seen the ephemera pack for Shimelle – Little by Little. It came a little bit later than everything else… but worth the wait! I’ve used a lot of ephemera on this layout… The background paper is from Crate Paper – Oasis.

Project life page 1

I really wanted to use more of the stamps… but didn’t really know how.  There wasn’t enough labels in the ephemera packs… so I made some circles with a die and stamped them. An very easy way to make your own embellishments.
I still love how well Maggie Holmes – Chasing dreams, Crate Paper – Oasis and Shimelle – Little by Little works together. These three collections will be perfect for all projects this spring and maybe also for this summer!

This page is next to the clown LO in my album. So I used the same stamp here. I also stamped on a label. Ephemera packs are my favorite kind of embellishments. Here I mixed a little bit of everything. Stickers, puffy stickers, washi and die cuts!
Yepp… I suck at using stamps! But hey, I tried! 😀
This way of using stamps suits me! I don’t need to use all the stamps in a set everywhere… some stamps can wait! Even though I didn’t use them all, I’m really happy with my purchase. The quality is great and I’m certain I will find projects for them all sometime.

It has been very fun to be part of a team. I love the design team of Hey Little Magpie… everyone is so talented! Time flies and I have been on the team for 2 and a half years now. That’s a loooong time to be on a team and I have learnt sooo much! A big thank you to the team and to Sarah and Lianne!
