Little Moments from Elle's Studio

The gentle pastel colours in Little Moments from Elle’s Studio  lend themselves to some sweet colourful layouts to welcome in Spring.

They look perfect set against white card stock with just a small and simple cluster of labels and die-cuts – perfect if time is limited and when isn’t it ?!
The cut a parts give you plenty of scope for this. Yes – you do have to do the ‘hard’ work of cutting them out but this is reflected in the low price point which means your stash budget goes a bit further. The think I like most about Elle’s Studio is that you can easily mix and match from different collections and yet each collection has its own distinctive style.
The stamps are also great to colour in with markers which means you can co-ordinate them with any papers or photographs.
For this first layout I used the silhouette to cut out a grid of 25 windows with the idea of folding back the windows to reveal the photos underneath. I simply used the ‘draw a line’ tool to make lines on the top and left hand adjacent edges of a square then duplicated 25 times and placed them symmetrically on the page with the help of the grid option in view. If anyone would like the cut file design just let me know in the comments below. I then folded the windows back and stuck them down with glue dots ( tip : use heavy duty glue dots as the first lot I tried insisted on popping back up again ! ) . But if they do, don’t worry as the page protector will keep them in place.
At first I thought I’d probably cut them too small as the photos ended up being rather tiny … but then the title of the Collection is LITTLE moments so I went with the flow and it also enabled me to use lots of the different patterned papers and cut-aparts.

More Spring colours in this layout which I used along with some clear origami paper . I say paper but it’s really just cellophane but I loved the way you can layer it to produce more colours – the obvious combination being turquoise and yellow to make a bright Spring green and also how it allows the design from underneath to show through. These went perfectly with the cut apart labels . I also bought the stamp set that goes with the Little Moments Collection – the HELLO is from this set and lends itself to being coloured in with markers so you can team it with any patterned papers. I adored this sheet of All My Heart paper which I used for the background with its very plain but graphic hearts and the pale grey in some of the 6 x 6 papers went nicely with it.

I felt like a burst of stripes and spots for this next layout so I went to town with several of the 6 x 6 patterned papers in the Little Moments Collection and a heap of cut aparts and labels, all held in place with some cross threaded floss. I couldn’t resist sneaking in some gold too , so I added a couple of the acetate squares from Studio Calico a sheet of the red origami cellophane and a smattering of the mini acetate circles from the Project Life Instax Mini Acetate Shapes pack. I like the fact that even from the same collection, your layouts can look completely different – that’s the sign of good design which Elle’s Studio has in buckets.
