Maggie Holmes Gather Project Life Kit
It’s Jo here with a look at the ‘new’ Maggie Holmes Gather Project Life core kit. I have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of this in the UK and it was worth the wait, it’s totally gorgeous! (Note – the kit is currently out of stock, but more are on the way, so sign up for a notification and you’re get an email when it’s back in stock.) Over the five years that I’ve been doing Project Life I have bought lots of different Project Life core kits, mini kits, themed kits, value kits and sample kits. However the Maggie Holmes kits are always hands down my favourite, I even bought two of the first Maggie Holmes Core Kit because I loved the colour palette and cards so much. I’m in love too with the Gather album, so pretty!
As you can see on the photo of the box above there are 616 cards in the kit, here’s a pick of the back of the box…
The kit contains 500 3×4″ Journaling Cards, 40 4×6″ Journaling Cards, 60 x 4×6″ Title Cards, 8 First Page Cards and 8 Last Page Cards. There is a mix of portrait and landscape orientation 3×4″ cards with the majority being portrait. The larger 4×6″ cards mostly have landscape on one side and portrait on the other.
I’ve already completed one album for the first half of 2017, so this kit came in time to begin my second album for 2017 (I fill two albums per year). I therefore could use the first and last page cards in my album, yay! I replaced a couple of the first page 4×6″ though. Anyway, enough chatting…here’s a look!
I realised later that it should say week 27, not 26! The chipboard thickers are from the new Maggie Holmes collection ‘Carousel’ and the stickers are from the Gather sticker sheet I had in my stash. Here’s a look at the last page…
Let’s start with Week 27, the first full week in July…
I always cut up a 12×12″ sheet of patterned paper for the other 4×6″ inserts, I never fill them with full size photos. This paper is from the Maggie Holmes ‘Chasing Dreams’ collection and is called ‘Lovely’. It’s the perfect green to match the Gather collection.
Here’s Week 28.
The 12×12″ paper used in this weeks spread is again from the ‘Chasing Dreams’ collection and is called ‘Adventure’.
Week 29.
For this week I used a paper from the Maggie Holmes Gather collection called ‘Thankful Heart’ which I had in my stash. It sold out in the recent sale, but is one of my favourite. I will often look in my stash of old papers to cut up for project life spreads, it’s a great way of using up old papers.
Week 30.
This weeks spread contains two birthdays, my youngest son and my dad so I decided to use the lovely pompom garland paper from the new Maggie Holmes collection ‘Carousel’ called ‘Uplifting‘.
So that’s July documented and gorgeous it looks too!
