This month I had a play with the Fancy Pants Designs collection Magnolia Moments. You can find the whole collection here. I picked the 6×6″ Paper Pad, the Ephemera Pack, the Letterboard Sentiments Pack and the Tape Stickers.
I decided to make a mini album about our home using nearly every sheet of paper in the paper pad, pretty much all of the die-cut ephemera, most of the tape stickers and a lot of the letterboard sentiments, although that pack is huge!
Firstly I cut two 6 x 6″ cardboard covers from packaging which I’d kept exactly for this purpose and covered both sides in patterned papers.
For the internal pages I simply stuck two papers from the pad back to back (they are all single sided in the 6 x 6″ paper pad). Added my photos, a tape sticker or a strip trimmed from the ‘borders’ paper in the pad, die-cut ephemera and letterboard sentiments. I added a little journaling label, which I cut in half and tucked under the photos.
I popped a lot of the die-cut ephemera pieces up on foam pads for a dimensional look, which is something I don’t often do in mini albums, but it really worked for this album and the cute ephemera die-cut pieces.
Finally I used my crop-a-dile to punch holes into the covers and pages and bound it together with book rings from my stash.
Here’s the whole album, cover to cover.
I hope I’ve inspired you to take a closer look at this Fancy Pants Designs collection ‘Magnolia Moments’, you can see it all here.
