A Mini & More using Pink Paislee – Atlas

Hi all, Jackie here ready to share with you a mini album and a few layouts using the lovely Pink Paislee – Atlas Collection of my recent trip to New York.
Last month I went with 5 friends to New York, and what a holiday we had – I still can’t get over how much I loved it , so to  try and document all the memories, I decided to do a mini album using this lovely Pink Paislee – Atlas-  4×4 mini album that comes in the Pink Paislee Atlas collection and I’m sharing a few of the pages here.
Mini Album
The mini album comes with a selection of 4×4 and 2×2 page protectors and I added some  extra page protectors has I knew I had loads of photos I wanted to include, I also included some pull-out sleeves that I made from cardstock to included extra photographs.

My opening page is cut from the Pink Paislee – Atlas – 6×6 pad and included some of the Pink Paislee – Atlas – Thickers.  I also used some of the mini alphabet stickers from Webster’s Pages

I cut this block from the 6×6 pad cut apart sheet.

Throughout the album I’ve just a selection of the Websters Pages – mini alphabet stickers, which were just the right size to add titles to my photographs.

As well as using the embellishments from this collection, I had also used some of the stickers from MAMBI Cardstock Sticker Book – On Vacation

This album came together really quickly, I loved working with the smaller size, I kept the pages simple in design with minimum embellishments.  I will be sharing more photographs of this mini albums on my blog here
As well as completely this mini album, I managed to do a few layouts from the trip.
Lady Liberty
This was something I really wanted to see close up and it didn’t disappoint, its is truly magnificent and a lot larger than I’d imagined.  I decided to use a large 11 x 8 photograph and keep the page very simple, just adding a few embellishments.  I used the B-sdes of both of the papers – using Pink Paislee Atlas – Take Flight as my background and added a piece of Pink Paislee – Atlas – Compass as a photo mount.

I used some of the puffy stickers and chipboard shapes from this collection as embellishments.

I used the Pink Paislee – Atlas – Thickers, which comes with this collection as my title, they are a gilded foiled – which offers a muted silver tone to the range.

I just added a stamped phase from the Becky Higgins Project Life Roller Stamp, which has some great phases on.

Hashtag Selfie
Now I love taking a selfie – who doesn’t right – so whilst in New York I took several selfies and choose a few to add to this layout.  I used the B-side of the Pink Paislee – Atlas – Altitude as my background, using the B-side of the sheet – and underneath the photos I used a selection of the papers from Pink Paislee – Atlas – 6×6 pad.    The journalling card I cut from the Pink Paislee – Atlas – Take Flight sheet.

Whilst putting this layout together, I found on my desk these stickers from Simple Stories – Word strip stickers  and added a few around the photographs.  I also cut the “hello” from this Technique Tuesday die.  The title was cut on my Silhouette Cameo using white cardstock and I coloured it to match the background paper, and added a HLM flair badge.

Favourite Daydream
I sometime struggle with finding titles for my layouts, but this one was provided for me from a tee-shirt I purchased before I went to New York, I shorted it so it could fit on the page,  but I just love how it has turned out.  I used a mixture of my stickers and thickers from my stash, as well as using the Pink Paislee – Atlas – Thickers.
I started the title using a cut file from my silhouette cameo, and then I selected some alphabet stickers and thickers from my stash.  I added the title first, so that I know where to fit the photographs.

Underneath the photos is a selection of papers from the 6×6 pad, some of which I had die cut, but has you can see I got carried away with the amount of photographs I used and the paper ended up be completely covered, but you can see a with few edges peeping out.

I then added a few chipboard shapes  from Pink Paislee – Atlas – Chipboard Shape pack,  Pink Paislee – Atlas – puffy stickers and a few pieces from the Pink Paislee – Atlas – Ephemera Pack, and finished off with a HLM flair badge.  I also stamped a few phases around the page using the Becky Higgins Project Life Roller Stamp.
