Mixing it up with Prima Amelia Rose

Hello! This month I thought I’d have a play with the Prima Marketing Amelia Rose collection, but decided to mix it with some 12 x 12″ papers and thickers from other collections.
Layout 1 – Haircuts & Coffee Cups

For this layout I used the gorgeous Webster’s Paper The Good Life ‘Natural Wrapping’ paper, with wood panels on one side and a black and white check on the other. I layered my photo on two papers from the Prima Amelia Rose 6×6″ paper pad and used a third for the journaling bit. The die-cuts are from the Amelia Rose Time Travel Die-cut Ephemera Pack and the circle stickers are from the Amelia Rose Travelling Rose Circle Stickers pack. I used the rose gold foil Thickers from the Maggie Holmes ‘Flourish’ collection, and they are a perfect match for the foil details on the die-cuts.

The flowers are a mixture of the Amelia Rose Love Letters Paper Flowers and the Amelia Rose Love and Luck Paper Flowers.
Layout 2 – Hortus Gin

For this layout I wanted to bring in the floral look and pink tunes from the gin. I choose the smaller flowers from the Love and Luck Paper Flowers pack and the moth die-cut from the Amelia Rose collection. I mixed them with the pretty speciality paper from the Maggie Holmes ‘Flourish’ collection Primrose Foiled Vellum paper which I layered over the top of pink cardstock (I’m not sure of the name of the cardstock as it was from my stash, however there’s lots of coloured cardstock in the store).

I used the blackboard style paper from the 6×6″ paper pad to mat the photo on and added clusters of die-cut ephemera and circle stickers (links above) around the photo. I used a white pen to write my journaling on the blackboard paper.

For my title I used the fabulous Thickers from the new Paige Evans collection Pick Me Up, aren’t they lovely? My sub title uses the mini My Happy Place Pink Alphabet Stickers by Webster’s Pages.
Layout 3 – Mothers Day

For my final layout I pulled out a piece of 70’s vibe floral paper from the new Dear Lizzy collection ‘Stay Colorful’ called Groovy. I built up a photo mat from four different papers from the 6×6″ Amelia Rose paper pad (you get four sheets of each design in the pad and there are eight double sided papers). I used two sheets of the lined paper, hiding the join to make it look like it stretches across the layout.

I added flowers from the packs linked above to the top left of my layout and little clusters of die-cuts and Amelia Rose Chipboard Stickers around the photo mat.

Again I used those lovely Paige Evans thickers for my title, picking out colours from the Dear Lizzy paper.
I tended to use the natural papers in the Amelia Rose 6×6″ paper pad, but there’s dusky pink featured throughout the collection too. I wanted to push myself to mix this collection with other pieces I’d recently bought, it’s good to mix and match.
You can find the Prima Marketing Amelia Rose collection here and the other Prima collection called Cherry Blossom, which goes very well with it here.
