Hey Magpies, it’s Rachel here, back with Doodlebug’s, So Much Pun collection again. As I said in my first post back on the 2nd of February, I loved this collection and Doodlebug have quickly become one of my favourite manufacturers. I love the cute icons they have and I just find their collections so easy to use. They seem to push me to scrap in a certain way and I feel like my true scrappy style is Doodlebug! I can’t wait for more collections to arrive lol! I love that they keep the same base colours in all their collections so they mix and match real well.
I loved the Best I Ever Plaid paper and the cut apart cards on it. So I decided to use 3 of them on this LO. I loved how punny they are! They’re a bit silly and corny but they make me smile so I will use them! I cut my photo to the same 4×3″ size and made a little grid with the cards and photo. Then honestly, all I did was use some of the various stickers and added foam pads to a lot of them for dimension. I used some of the Odds & Ends Die-cuts, I used the cute martian in his spaceship on top of the space-cial card. The same print was already on the card but I added the die cut on top with foam pads cause it just looked cool.
There’s also stickers from all 3 sheets of the different stickers in the collection dotted around on this LO, So Much Pun Icon Stickers, So Much Pun Too Icon Stickers and the Mini Cardstock Stickers which are the same stickers as what’s on both of the Icon sheets but they’re smaller sized. I bought all of them (cause I’m excessive like that) and I’m glad I did cause sometimes I did want a larger sticker and then sometimes I required a smaller one to fit the space I needed better. But if you only want to get one lot of stickers, definitely go for the Mini Cardstock Stickers cause that way you will get them all just in a smaller size. I also used some of the Glossy Enamel Shapes – Otterly Adorable. I love the enamel shapes in the Doodlebug ranges, they’re so freaking cute and they’re also tiny and lovely. I know they might seem a little on the expensive side for an embellishment pack but I honestly don’t think you would be disappointed if you purchase them, they’re so frikken cute! I have quite a few packs and I really think they add something special to a LO, they’re so glossy and shiny, they’re the kind of embellishment that people will really notice on your LO when they’re looking through your album. I bet they’ll reach out to try and touch them. And OMG, the sloths and otters in this pack are to die for! I bought 2 packs I loved those sloths so much!
I really liked the ‘I’m stuck on You’ card from the So Much Pun paper. So that was my focus for this LO and I built everything around that. So the Pill Better paper was a given for this LO. That’s what went behind my photo and the stuck on you card and then I just picked out some of the cool speech bubbles from the Chit-Chat Die-Cuts pack, with words that went with my photo. And then as above, I just picked out stickers from the various sticker sheets and mounted some on foam pads for dimension. It really was that simple! This LO makes me laugh so much lol! I doodled around the paper and then doodled a black and white border around the whole edge of the paper too and was done.
I really hope that you guys will give Doodlebug another look in the shop next time you’re shopping. Definitely check out the So Much Pun collection and you should definitely have a look at the Glossy Enamel Shapes cause those are really special and worth it! Have a great rest of February Magpies and remember to keep Doodlebug in mind next time you’re shopping, it’s so worth a second look!
