Happy New Year Magpies, Jackie here, I hope you all had a wonderful festive season and are how ready to get back into scrapbooking.
As most of us know, later this month is CHA in the US, where all the latest and greatest products will be revealed, released and ordered and making it way into our life – we need it all, and boy some of the sneaks I’ve seen I will need a bigger house – to store it all – lol x
Now lets me get back on track, so with the new products coming into the store I wanted to make room so what better way than to use up some of the much loved products that are still available. I choose Shimelle – Go Now Go collection and Dear Lizzy – Saturday Collection. Both collections still available and both lovely to work with.
For my first layout, Red Cup Season – using white cardstock as my base,
I added a strip of Shimelle – Go Now Go – Date Paper to the right hand side of the cardstock and stamped a border of stars from Kelly Purkey Stamps on either sides, then using a selection of papers from the 6×6 pad,.
I also added under the photographs, a month cut-apart sheet – that I used as an additional sub-title for the page, adding a stamped tag at the too from the Kelly Purkey stamp set.
For the title I used Fancy Pants Designs – Life Is Beautiful Chipboard Alphabets and machined stitched over them.
For my 2nd layout, Cheers, I used Shimelle Go Now Go collection again. I don’t normally used busy sheets as a full background, but really love how this has turned out. I added stamped details and some ink splatters to the background. Layered the photos using a selection of papers from the 6×6 pad and again the month, from the cut-apart sheet. On the photograph I added a couple of the stickers from MAMBI – sticker pack .
For the title I used the lovely Shimelle – Go Now Go – Departure Thickers.
I also added some hidden journalling to the tags using my We R Memory Keepers Typewriter.
For my final layout, I used Dear Lizzy – Saturday collection, I used two of the branding strips under my photographs and a cut a few of the sayings from Dear Lizzy – Saturday – Staten Island Paper, finishing the pages with a few enamel dots and Dear Lizzy – Saturday – Mini Puffy Stickers.
For the title I used Dear Lizzy – Saturday – Black Puffy Thickers
Hope you like what I’ve done with these two collection, why not hop over to the store and stock up with some of these papers whilst stock last.
Happy Scrapping till next month !
