NSD Challenge #9 – Starting Point

Hi Magpies, Caroline here and welcome to challenge number 9 for National Scrapbooking Day. I hope you have been enjoying all the wonderful challenges so far. This afternoon I have a starting point challenge for you.

I challenge you to start your layout using the following configuration of patterned paper.

For my 12 x 12 layouts I used a 6 x 8 piece, a 10 x 4 piece positioned vertically and then a 11 x 3.5 piece positioned horizontally. Of course you can adapt this for different sized layouts or TN spreads.

Once you have the paper down, it’s over to you. Finish your page however you wish, using your favourite supplies and techniques. Here is what I came up with.

Collect Beautiful Moments Together 

I chose to use a 6 x 4 photo for this layout, to fill in some of the white space in the top right hand corner of the page. Adding three embellishment clusters. One to the right of my photo, one next to my title and the third in the top right corner of the page.

The Minack Theatre

For this layout I chose to use 3 photos and matted them in a strip. I added three large embellishment clusters, each featuring a circle, a camera and a heart.
