Hello Magpies, I can’t believe that we’re nearly half way through January already! So, as winter will soon be over, I’ve made two layouts using Goldenrod, that have a spring time feel to them. They both use circles in two different ways, circles are so versatile and are definitely my ‘go to’ shape.
HELLO LITTLE WORM!
The first is this 12 x 12 page using a cut file that incorporates different sized circles, which is the focal point of the layout. I started by framing one patterned paper with a contrasting coloured paper.
And then I filled the circles of the cut file with photos and patterned papers from the collection.
I added the title with a word from the ephemera pack and a sub title below it using some tiny Thickers.
I cut a circle for my journalling which I added just below the lower photo and added a pear from the ephemera pack as I though that the quote was very relevant! A bee sticker and some puffy stickers finished it off.
My second layout uses a large circular cut file that I backed with plain cardstock. That took a while but it was worth the effort! I used a different colour for the hedgehog and mushrooms to add some dimension. I arranged the cut file onto the patterned paper and backfilled some of the spaces with cream cardstock. When I was happy with the result I glued it down.
Then I added my photo which I had triple mounted, tucking it under the mushroom at the lower left corner. I cut a little tag for the date and placed it to the left of the photo. I added the title and sprinkled some tiny puffy hearts around it. I placed a couple of flowers from the ephemera pack to the right of the photo and a puffy sticker in the corner.
Two more flower stickers to either side of the circle picked up the colour of the red cardstock and were the finishing touch!
Here’s where you can find the One Canoe Two Goldenrod collection, so until next month, happy scrapping!
