Good morning Magpies, Jackie here with my layouts for this month. I’m sure you have noticed all the lovely new collections that have come int the shop this past month, and there are still loads to come. i and the my fellow team mates are really spoilt for choice, but I decided to go with the new collection from Pebbles – designed by Jen Hatfield – called Everyday. Its a mixed colour theme that is like it says ‘everyday’ their is a world map, bright flowers, anchors, woodgrain, and lovely gold thickers.
For my first layout, 18 – of my son on the day of his 18th.
I cut the large number with my Silhouette cameo and backed the numbers with strips cut from the 6×6 pad. Once this was all struck down, I handstitched around the edge of the numbers to add some texture.
Then I layered the photograph on a few sheets, ripped at the bottom edge, and I backed the photo with black cardstock to give it more definition.
For my 2nd layout – All Wired Up – I wanted to document how I passed the time whilst flying to NY last year. I’m not a frequent flyer and to be honest I’m not that keen and I was dreading the length of the flight, but having a large selection of movies, music etc helped to pass the time.
As I’m normally a 12×12 scrapbooker, for this one I followed Julie idea of doing a different sized layout, so I did this one as 12 x 9.
I used white cardstock, and inked the background in red and blue – again a simple layout – which came together really quickly. I used the red and white stripe paper from the 6×6 pad , and used the b’side of the paper called ‘anchored’. Which I also added a striped to the top and bottom of the page to bring it all together.
I also added some of the metal studs that go with this collection.
I added some journalling to the tags behind the photographs, regarding this part of my flight to NY last year.
For my last layout this month – Go See Do – another travel layout using the World map paper from this collection, which I cut down to size, this time a 11 x 8.5 size.
I distressed the background with inks and some Heidi Swapp – gold texture paste. Then layered the photograph on top of a piece of the Monogram and the b-side of Angled Tiles paper.
I used some of the stickers from the sticker sheet, and the thickers for the title.
I finished the layout with enamel dots, wood veneer stars and some Heidi Swapp – Colour Shine – Gold splatters.
I hope you like how I’ve used this collection, it definiately got somethings for everyone, and most so for everyday events. Links to the products in the store are at the end.
Bye for now
