Hi Magpies, Niki here with you today and I have two layouts to share using Shimelle’s new collection, Head in the Clouds.
I love the whimsical nature of this collection and find it easy to embrace the mermaids, unicorns, dragons and princesses. After all I have one princess and two princes of my own to scrap about! I had some of the 12 x 12 papers, the Chipboard Accent stickers, 6×12 Accent Stickers, Ephemera, Enamel Shapes & Dots, Foam Phrase Glitter Thickers, and the Puffy Heart Stickers.
For my first layout I’ve used that fabulous blue brick paper, it’s called ‘Imagine the Wonder’ and has the blue brick pattern on one side and dragons on the other. I used a small amount on each side of the layout and fussy cut out the windows. I also fussy cut out some of the dragons from the other side. I used a journaling card from one of the cut-apart sheets and enjoyed adding a few brick details and lots of the fussy cut dragons – they are so cute!
For my second layout ‘It isn’t Easy being a Princess’ I fussy cut all those frames from the ‘Never Grow Up’ paper and then arranged those with some fussy cut cameras from ‘Fairy Tale Photos’ paper.
I arranged all the frames around two photos of my princess and of course added the chipboard castle and a dragon 🙂
I’ve used another journaling card from the cut-apart sheet and used two different alphabets for my title: the little on is by Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hills 2 collection and the large white alphabet is from Heidi Swapp Emerson Lane. I finished off with a few puffy hearts and enamel shapes.
Thanks so much for joining me today, I’ll be back later in the month with a couple more layouts using this same collection.
Happy scrapping xx
