Scooticorn and Zoom with Crate Paper All Heart | Niki Rowland

Hey Magpies, Niki here today and I have two more layouts to share using Crate Paper All Heart Collection, which definitely has my heart.

For this first layout ‘Scooticorn’ I used lots of the 12×12 papers to cut strips. I then cut each with my Notebook punch and layered them on top of each other. I also stitched through with black thread on my sewing machine.

I have created a video for this layout which you can view below.

I drew some detail with a black pen around some of the bordered edges to give them some additional definition. I also added drops of black indian ink to the background.

I added my photo over to the right side of the layout. I punched hearts from patterned papers and used them as embellishments. I also added ephemera, navy pom pom trim and strips of white card for my journaling.

I’ve also added a tassle and a star charm from the All Heart collection as well as stickers from the puffy Thickers. I used foam Thickers also from the Crate Paper All Heart collection for my title.

Here is my second layout: Zoom! For this layout I decided to go slightly crazy! I wanted to create a road going into the distance so I drew the road onto a separate piece of card and when I was happy with the shape I cut it out. I then used this as a template to draw around onto patterned paper and cut out. I then placed my ‘road’ onto the pink background and stitched around the edges

I cut out some clouds and layered them onto another patterned paper. On the two big ones, I added light pink hand stitching around the edges. I also added a star charm dangling from the left cloud.

I layered my photo with some patterned papers and a pink puffy frame. I then added my photo to the layout and went crazy with embellishments! I wanted them to be dancing along the road so I layered up the biggest ones at the beginning and got smaller towards the end of the road.

I used the pink foam Thickers from the All Heart collection for my title and doodled a cartoon cloud of dust behind the word.
