Scrapping Autumn with Woodland Forest

Hi Everyone, I hope you had a great September, and welcome to my October blog post.  In my September post I spoke about Autumn and how I was looking forward to the crisp days, well if your in the UK , you will know that we had a bit of a scorcher last month.  This month I am still on my Autumn kick and using another of the lovely Pebbles collections, Woodland Friends.
This collection is very whimsical and includes lots of cute critters and a lovely group of gnomes.  These however are not my go to style when scrapbooking, so I wanted to share with you 3 pages which use this collection without these elements.  I do have lots of ideas to use these however on some pocket pages I have planned.  Of course this collection has a dose of woodgrain so it appeals to me greatly, the woodgrain in this collection is a lovely cherry colour.

One of the signs of Autumn for me is of course the Pumpkin Spice Latte, I always look forward to having one to signify the start of this season.  In this collection their is a cute pumpkin rubber elements, this is the first time I have used them and I love the dimension they add.

I also used as a layering element some of the American Craft Treat Tissue, the colours work great with this collection.  The pack comes with 3 different designs.  I added some ink stencils on the background to go with the coffee theme.

I did some fussy cutting of the elements on the cut a part sheet which I layered in a cluster.  The border strips of the 12×12 papers have some great prints and are great for creating a line to add clusters on too, think of it as a shelf.

The collection featured a tartan/plaid design which I knew would fit in well in my Scotland album.  This album is a 9×12 size and I am still getting used to this size and the proportions, so scrapped another single photo.

I used some more of the Treat Tissue on this page and added an assortment of different layers, the large heart has been in my stash for nearly 2 years, and it was great to get it on a page.

The leaves are cut from one of the 12×12 papers, the scale works perfectly with some more of the rubber elements.

This last page is designed to let the journalling be the main focus and I wanted to include a selection of photos, so chose a couple of different sizes.  I have added this journalling after the photographs.  This central column helps to draw focus to the written element.  The title is using the woodgrain Thickers which is part of this collection.

I like creating small clusters around the smaller photos, the fussy cut leaves worked great on this page too.  I also used some more of the cut a part elements to add to these cluster.  The small phrase stickers with this collection also are a great layering element.
My pages this month are a bit of an eclectic mix, but I love how this collection works for them all.  I am looking forward to the leaves changing colour and getting some more photos to scrap with this collection.  I hope you all have a wonderful October and I will see you in November.
