Shimelle/Glitter Girl Collection

Hi Magpies, hope you are all well, and that the transition of getting back to school / college / university life is going smoothly, and that you are finding some time to scrap.
For my layouts this month, I’ve used the fabulous and bright collection by Shimelle, called Glitter Girl, Shimelle’s alter-ego.  I’m a big fan of Shimelle’s collections, and knew as soon as saw it that I wanted to use it for my blogpost.
I did wonder how I was going to use the various bits and pieces that was clearly ‘girl ralated’, but I did managed to use on one of the layouts below.
SuperStar

For this layout, I used the b-side of Shimelle/Glitter Girl – Keep Your Cool Paper,  I backed a cut file, designed by Paige Taylor Evans, with a selection of papers from the Shimelle/Glitter Girl – 6×6 pad, and added a simple matt behind 3 photos, the colours I wanted to use was green, black and yellow as they are the colours of the Jamaica flag.   So I tried to keep to this colour scheme with this layout.  I did this by using the b-sides of both the Shimelle/Glitter Girl – Talk It Up and Shimelle/Glitter Girl – Make Magic papers.
I raised the ‘Super Star’ title with 3D form and positioned it to the top of the background paper.

I added a few embellishments from the Shimelle/Glitter Girl – Ephemera pack, as well as cutting some stars from 6×6 pad to add to the sides of the matted photographs.

I finished the layout with some of the stars and the word ‘Awesome’ from the Shimelle/Glitter Girl Teal Words Thickers.

For this layout, I did some distressing to the white cardstock, and using 6 inches from the Shimelle / Glitter Girl – Find a Flower paper I cut some of the shapes out added 3D foam to the back of these shapes, and put them back in the place at a slight angle, so you can see that they are raised and also the colour under the cardstock.

I mounted the photos with papers from the 6×6 pads and placed the photo mount in the middle of the paper.
I added some of the Shimelle/Glitter Girl Enamel Hearts to the clusters on the page, and cut 3 cameras from the 6×6 camera paper and use them as part of the clusters.

For my final layout, I used mainly the scraps that were on my desk to make this layout.  I started by adding a colour wash to my white cardstock.  Then added the various patterned papers to the the cardstock.
Using some of the Thickers and the Teal Word Thickers to make my title.
I added some stickers from the Shimelle/Glitter Girl – Accent & Phase Stickers sheet, as well as a few stars from the Teal Word Thicker sheet.

I even managed to add  unicorn to my page … random but I love it.
