Hi Magpies, have you seen some of the new products trickling into the store? Well I shopped & fell in love with the new Any Tan collection, Shine On. A really different colour palette of orange, yellow, teal, pink, lots of black & kraft!!! Hurray for the comeback of kraft. I’ve always loved kraft papers & think they go well with any colour scheme & it’s in abundance in this collection.
My first layout ‘Seriously Cute’ started when I saw this cute bunny head on pinterest , I traced it on my silhouette & cut it out & backed it with sprinkled paper from the 6×6 paper pad. I pieced together the background paper using flourish & happiness papers & added my photo & cluster of die cuts in the middle, spreading out towards the top & bottom. I added a bit of stitching along the lines in the flourish paper to add some texture & finished with a few puffy heart stickers.
The inspiration for my second layout came from the die cut word ‘Shine’ I always look to the collections for inspiration with titles & this one just popped out.
I’d brought some seriously gorgeous light bulb stamps while in Paris earlier in the year & they along with some distress oxide inks made for a cute mixed media background. I cut out a couple of light bulbs & backed them with papers from the 6×6 paper pack & stitched hanging lines to them.
I clustered my photos on a mat of papers & die cuts & added it to the bottom left adding one of the cute faux leather bows. I cut down my background paper & added a thin mat of kraft before matting that on the B side of the breath on paper.
For my final layout I wanted to use all the hearts in this collection, there are plenty, & wanted all the colours to pop so I added a large area of black acrylic paint with splatters in black & gold & a few texture paste hearts in pink & orange. I then cut out loads of different sized hearts in a few of the papers from the 6×6 paper pack, matted my photos on vellum & clustered my hearts around the photos & up & down the page adding a few on pop dots. The mini inflated ephemera hearts & the puffy heart stickers added the finishing touch. I cut my background paper on 2 sides & sewed it, at an angle, to the good life paper.
I hope you like my take on this lovely collection & go & check out what else is new in the shop, until next time, happy scrapping xoxo
