Simple Stories – Good Vibes

Hi there Sheena here again x

For my post this month I chose to use Simple Stories – Good Vibes range. I ordered the Good Vibes 6×8 pad plus chipboard stickers, combo stickers and the bits and pieces set. The bright colours really drew me to this range but initially I wasn’t sure what photos to use so I spread all the Good Vibes papers & embellishments out on the table so I could see it all more clearly.

Live out Loud.

There is a repeat in the Good Vibes 6×8 paper pad & I was really keen on the Live Out Loud papers so I used them both on this page.

I cut the words out of one sheet, which was a little tricky & attached them to the other sheet using foam pads, then stuck them to gather vertically. I took a 12×12 sheet of watercolour paper & added paint as if it was a continuation of the patterned paper.

I then grouped the Good Vibes embellishments by colour & started to add them around the sides of the patterned paper.

I matted my photo and the water colour paper on black cardstock to make it pop.

So Good.

When I saw this Good Vibes patterned paper I immediately thought of Macaroons!!  Is it just me? or can you see them too?

As before I’ve used both the 6×8 papers on this page, the join isn’t obvious as the pattern is so busy.

I tore the papers to reveal the white core then added a ruffle of tissue paper behind this.

I adhered these to pink cardstock. I’m not usually a user of coloured cardstock but I felt it continued the sweet feel of the page. I machine sewed between all the pink “macaroons” on the papers to highlight them as they went perfectly with my photos.

I completed the page with matting all 3 photos before adhering with foam pads, then adding a little food ephemera, then Good Vibes embellishments and Thickers from my stash.

We would love to see what you create over on our FB group and I’d love to see how  you have used this Simple Stories Good Vibes range.

Till next time x
