Spring is finally in the air, not only here on the blog but in the store. Spring Fling by Pebbles is a lovely collection full of Spring/Easter-friendly details, plus lots of accents that work for themes like birthdays, babies, weddings, and everyday occasions. It’s a line that immediately caught my eye, not only because of it’s fresh and fun designs teamed with kraft and pastels, but because it also offers lots of accents for every papercrafter. I was especially happy to see so many card-friendly details in the embellishments available, as well as on the 12×12 papers.
Here’s a look at what I picked from this line:
Restocks of the foiled accent stickers and foiled cut-outs paper will hopefully be arriving back in store soon – but the full collection can be found here in the store.
I was especially keen to use this collection for some of my Easter cards this year. So let’s start with those!
I absolutely adore the paper with the white rabbits on kraft – it’s the B-side of the Doily pattern and makes such a fun background that you don’t need to add much else than a greeting of some sort.
I used one of the lovely foiled cards from the foil cutouts sheet which is sadly out of stock right now. The sheet is actually a cardstock grade and the same thickness as the cardstock accents in the ephemera pack. I simply used some pale grey cardstock for a frame and added some of the gold foiled butterflies from the foiled accent stickers (which are also out of stock right now). I just love the pastel balloons on this cutout card.
There are so many white and kraft designs in this collection that make for great full backgrounds to your cards.
The white rabbit is from the ephemera pack while the chick and bee are from the foiled accent stickers. It couldn’t be simpler!
In addition to white rabbits on kraft, there are also bees on kraft:
For my greeting I used a die to cut “Easter” from a scrap sheet of watercolour paper I use to test out colours before painting them. It adds a nice variation in colour to the final die cut. I also used the end of one of the “Birthday Wishes” banner stickers from the accent stickers book. The book has lots of handy greetings for the outside and inside of card projects, as well as for using on gift tags.
I also like how the accents in the Spring Fling line can be used for baby projects:
I put more stickers to use on this card:
I really like how Pebbles have included some nice accent strips with their papers like the diagonal stripe on this card, it really adds balance between the kraft designs and the black patterned papers in the collection.
The foiled cutout cards also include this lovely celebratory number – I used another of the cutout cards behind it. The Chalkboard Floral paper is a lovely background and contrast against the B-side design of the Spring Fling paper and the other pastel tones.
There are also lots of floral accents in the ephemera pack:
I used both sides of the Lace paper design for this card and layered up the fishtail banner, floral accents and greetings from the ephemera pack.
Finally I had time for a quick card to use up the rest of the pink and white accent strip:
The B-side of the From Me to You paper has this fab white on black polka dot pattern. I didn’t manage to use the A-side of this paper on a card this time round, but there are so many banner sentiments and greetings included on the A-side that have handily got cutting lines for you to follow that you could use it and the other papers in the collection to whip up a set of cards in a jiff.
For this card it couldn’t be easier: just a couple of papers, an ephemera accent and one of the sentiment stickers from the book.
Happy spring crafting!
