Jillibean Soup Summer Red RaspberryHi everyone!
It’s Nat here with some new card ideas to brighten up you Sunday morning, and if the sun isn’t shining where you are right now, then the very lush and vivid Summer Red Raspberry collection from Jillibean Soup is sure to help.
If you are looking for vibrant and fun colours to cheer your day plus some great versatile accents then look no further, here are some of the items from this line that I used for my projects this month:
Jillibean Soup Summer Red Raspberry collection
(You’ll also spot the insanely popular set of rainbow heart enamel stickers that have been flying out – and for good reason!)
Here’s a pic of the B-sides of the papers:

Jillibean Soup Summer Red Raspberry - Hello Sunshine cardThe Bite Size Bits paper has some great cards to cut out that will work perfectly in scrapping projects, but it also has some nice card-friendly designs too – plus the B-side is a fab shade of grey that contrasts nicely with all these bright shades. With that greeting I couldn’t resist featuring a sunshine on this card – it’s cut from the B-side of the Frozen Red Raspberries paper and decorated with one of the hearts from the rainbow enamel hearts stickers.

I was after a pop of green and the “Spring” card on the Bite Size Bits paper had enough green for me to cut a little fishtail banner to do the job.
One of the things I really liked about this collection was the watercolour look it features on some of the papers and some of the cut-out cards. You can create a striking yet simple card just using the papers:
Jillibean Soup Summer Red Raspberry - Love You cardOh, and of course some 3D foam tape!
Jillibean Soup Summer Red Raspberry - Love You card - detailAs you can guess from the name, this collection has lots of berry-themed accents and phrases – they were just too cute not to be used!
Jillibean Soup Summer Red Raspberry - The Berry Best Birthday cardThe grey B-side pattern made a return as I am just a sucker for grey tones right now. I love it against aqua tones in particular and the Whipped Cream paper has a great aqua B-side with lots of strips that can be cut to create borders.
Jillibean Soup Summer Red Raspberry - The Berry Best Birthday card - detailOne of my favourite papers in the collection is the Fresh Yogurt design and I just love that the ephemera pack contains coordinating raspberries that go so nicely with it. I used bits of 3D foam tape to lift the ends of the raspberries up and really make them pop against the paper.
Finally I wanted to make a card that combined those aqua tones with some hot pinks – enter the gorgeous Red Wine butterfly pattern:
Jillibean Soup Summer Red Raspberry - Lovely Birthday cardThe Sliced Banana paper makes for a great background for stamping greetings on and creates a nice subtle look against the busier patterns in this collection.

The flowers and leaf die-cuts work so nicely together and I love the various butterflies in the pack, they come in a nice variety of sizes and colours.
Here’s how those die-cut accents look layered up on the card:

I am a real addict when it comes to pens, notepads, the whole shebang. I just couldn’t resist adding a couple of new pens to my recent order and well, you need pens to write in cards right? They were a necessity!
I picked these two new additions:
Cute pens from Hey Little MagpieThe pink Moustache pen is a 0.5 mm blue ballpoint pen and writes so smoothly for a fine ballpoint pen – it’s currently out of stock but there are other colours of this moustache pen in the store.
The turquoise Home Sweet Home pen is a 0.35 mm black gel pen, it’s really fine and great for journaling and just a joy to write with. Both pens have been working overtime of late as I have had so many to-do lists to write!
Here are some quick links to the products I used:

Have a great Sunday and happy crafting!
