Summer's is nearly here….

And doesn’t it make you feel great? Whether it’s simply the warmer weather or the longer evenings for more scrapping time, Summer definitely gives you the feel good factor!
As soon as it gets that bit warmer, I like nothing better than looking back on last years’ Summer holiday photos and if I haven’t already scrapped them, doing so before this years’ Summer holiday!

The stunning Oasis collection by Crate is simply jam packed with goodies, perfect for all those holiday snaps.
From the 12 x 12″ chipboard, featuring an abundance of palm tree leaves, flowers, retro holiday signs and of course that all important summing costume to the delicious 6 x 6″ paper pad with the most adorable, dinky flamingos ever, this really is a collection that sums up Summer! I stitched the 6 x 6″ papers to try and emulate a polaroid frame…

What’s not to love about those teeny weeny flamingos?
The patterns subtly continue through from the papers to the ephemera, with key patterns repeating themselves.

Snapchat photos are perfect to scrap, especially when text has been added to them and you really can’t find the ideal phrase or title to use! I often leave my title to last and then either struggle to decide what it’s going to say or even more often, where to cite it!

I’ve been in love with the Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams, aptly named Portrait paper since I first saw it and purchased three sheets!
At a weekend away with some scrappy friends including Julie, Jackie and Sheena, I decided enough was enough and I used the first piece!
All frames were back mounted with pieces form the 6 x 6″ paper pad… Boy did it take me an age to decide where each should go!

I kept one for my chosen Summer snap and then used foam pads to raise the frames from each of the patterned papers.

And of course, what’s a collection without the odd flamingo or two, so this design was used on both layouts!
So if you’re not yet feeling all summery, then why not treat yourself to some new products – you certainly can blame the dark nights for having no time to scrap!
Until next month, when it will be the cusp of the longest day of the year… happy scrapping!
