Surprise Find !!! – Jillibean Soup – Saffron Yellow Paper

Hello Magpies, Jackie here with my layouts for this month, using the lovely collection by Jillibean Soup – Saffron Yellow Pepper.  If you are anything like me, I troll the store daily! and I do mean daily and I would have been certain that I know what was there, then all of a sudden a get a unexpected surprised, when  a collection pops up that I’ve not  seen or even thought of using, so I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered this and it proved to be a gem of a collection.  So here goes this is what I created this month.
My first layout is of my two lovely friends Sue & Sue in Central Park, New York – it was a very hot day and they had the brilliant idea of using their umbrellas as sun shades.
What a Shady Pair
When I saw this Jillibean Soup – Saffon Yellow Pepper – Cube Potatoe Paper, with the umbrella I knew I had the perfect photograph for it.   I didn’t want to use the whole paper as a background and decided to cut in in half and attach it to Jillibean Soup-  Saffron Yellow Pepper – Sliced Yellow Peppers .  Using a few sheets of papers from the Jillibean Soup – Saffron Yellow Pepper 6×6 pad  I layered the photo and added a few of the wood veneer around the page.

I also used the tiny alphabets to form part of my title and to add the name of the place.

At the top of the photographs I added some of the 6×6 cut apart as tags.

The bow clip was a happy mistake, I was on my desk and  slipped on to my layout and  I liked how it looked so stapled it in place.

Shaun in the City
Me and my son recently spent a few days in Bristol on the hunt for Shaun the Sheep – we had a great few days, and I wanted to document a few of the Shaun’s we found – I randomly choose 12 and added them to a collage, which I layered on to some patterned papers from the Jillibean Soup – Saffron Yellow Pepper 6×6 pad.  Using a file cut with my silhouette cameo, I added some patterned papers from the 6×6 pad to a few of the arrow shapes, and adhered it to the Jillibean Soup – Saffron Yellow Pepper – Saffron  Thread Paper  which I used as the  background paper.

I used one of the stickers from Jillibean Yellow soup –  Saffron Yellow Pepper – soup stickers labels. and I also added some of the Jillibean Soup – Saffron Yellow Pepper – mini alphabets at the bottom of the page.

One of our Fave
For my final  layout this month,  I used mainly the Jillibean Soup – Yellow Saffron Pepper 6×6 pad, I choose 4 different papers from the 6×6 pad cutting square into 2 inch squares and layered them on a piece of white cardstock in a grid formation, leaving space inbetween each square so that I could do the hand stitching.  I hand stitched the rows with a multi coloured thread, that co-ordinated with the papers.  Again, I used another one of the photographs of one of our favourite Shaun.

Well that all from me for this month,  I hope you like how I’ve used this collection and if you’ve not tried any of the Jillibean Soup collections before, hop over to the store and give them a try,  you will be pleasently surprised – I know I was.
Bye for now.
Happy scrapping
