Week in the Life – Traveler's Notebook |Jo Boland

Hello! I’m back this month sharing my Week in the Life which I participated in last week along with Ali Edwards and lots of fellow life documenters (scrapbookers). If you’ve not heard about this project before click here. Essentially it’s a project of documenting your life in photos and words for one week of the year. Although lots of us documented last week, you could document any week of the year. I first took part in 2008 and have participated most years since. You can see some of my past WITL projects on the Hey Little Magpie blog here (2017) and here (2014). This year I decided to document it in a traveler’s notebook, rather than an album and so far I’m really pleased with how it’s looking. I’m half way through the week, which I’ll share in this post, and the rest I will share later in my next blog post on the 24th May.

Here’s a look at my process… first I took lots of photos during the week and uploaded the most significant ones to my Instagram stories. This allowed me to document the time and caption, and each was automatically saved to my phones memory.

During the week I stamped lots of useful phrases and words using the Elle’s Studio stamp sets Days of the Week and Here + Now. I stamped in black Staz On ink on to smooth white cardstock. I love these stamps! There’s lots of really useful stamp sets by Elle’s Studio, but I narrowed it down to these two.

Next I searched for traveler’s notebook inspiration and set about planning my spreads, let’s just say they evolved a bit!

and then I began the making process…

Here’s a look at Monday through to Wednesday. [NB. All the product information can be found at the bottom of this post]

At the back of my traveler’s notebook, I have a zipper pouch which is fab to store stamped images, embellishments, journaling cards and pre-written journaling on vellum.
